Meet the founder

Lawyer, executive, entrepreneur, and lifelong advocate for her community.

Sabrina G. Lombardi spent years in large corporations, private equity-backed companies, and highly regulated industries. She came away convinced that people should never be reduced to numbers, so she built a business where integrity is nonnegotiable and curiosity is encouraged.

As a woman-owned independent dealership, Savant also reflects her determination to challenge expectations in a traditionally male-dominated industry.

Her journey

A story that began long before the boardroom.

Early years

Hard work from age 12

Raised by her grandparents until about 14, Sabrina began working around age 12 as a dance teacher’s assistant. Gymnastics, dance, and an appearance on the children’s series Gullah Gullah Island built her creativity, discipline, and confidence.

Education

First in her family to graduate

B.A. in political science from Iona University, a J.D. from Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law, and an MBA from Hofstra’s Frank G. Zarb School of Business.

Career

Executive leadership

Senior roles overseeing compliance, privacy, risk, governance, and operations at organizations earning hundreds of millions to billions in annual revenue, advising executives and boards.

Experience

Private equity and consulting

About five years inside private equity-backed businesses, then her own firm, Cardinal Consultants LLC, advising companies across industries, including automotive.

What shaped her

Resilience and compassion

Financial hardship, a life-threatening medical emergency, personal loss, and family struggles taught her that capable people sometimes need compassion and a chance to begin again.

Community

Service beyond the office

Pro bono work, housing initiatives, food assistance, youth programs, and support for underserved communities, including people rebuilding their lives after incarceration.

Her professional accomplishments have earned her numerous distinctions, including recognition as a Schneps Media Power Woman of Long Island, an Icon Award recipient, and inclusion on the 2025 Long Island East End Power List, as well as recognition from the New York State Senate.

What Sabrina believes

People are not replaceable

Customers are never transactions, and everyone deserves to feel they matter.

Second chances

No one should be permanently defined by their past, circumstances, or mistakes.

The shopkeeper mentality

Know the people who walk in, remember their stories, and stand behind what you sell.

Profit and humanity

The strongest businesses prove one can reinforce the other.

“I didn’t create Savant Auto Group simply to sell cars. I created it to prove that business can be done differently. That people still matter. That trust is worth more than a transaction. And that doing the right thing should never be the exception.” Sabrina G. Lombardi, JD, MBAFounder & President, Savant Auto Group
